PEOPLE REMARK ON THE LIGHT FILLED VAULTED CEILING

The home was already an idyllic little wonder with it’s all around garden with bountiful apples (which made for a great crumble) but the flow of this single storey home was stunted by the kitchen.

We unlocked this by a simple yet super-effective 4m extension which utilised the services and main structure of the existing house to provide a new kitchen which is now for morning coffee, guitar practice and all day sun-trap.

Skylights fill the kitchen with all day sun and the island is now the hub of all home activities.

The room now brings the family together not in a “have to make lunch way” but a “time to chill and have a sandwich” kind of way!!
